Daleth is one of Aliphant's coworker in his comic strip with the same name, created in 2003.

Although other characters have a more defined personality and different physical traits, Dalethant, or simply Daleth, is the paradigm of the generic ant in ANT. He is always listening to whatever Aliphant needs to say, as conniver of his jokes. He is always ready to reply with whatever the joke needs. However, he is not just Aliphant's shadow who converts the monologs in dialogs.

Daleth represents the ANTian spirit in the different conditions, the normality from the ANTian society's point of view, and therefore, usually disagrees with Aliphant's criteria. He shows the proper way according to the cannon of ANTian anthill.

The origin of his name is the letter from the Phoenician alphabet, daleth in some transcriptions, followed by the particle ant, which identifies all the characters of the comic strip who are working for the firm. The letter daleth became our modern letter d. The sound of this name evokes the Anglosaxon Dale, and was one of the main criteria to select the name of this ant.
